Frequently Asked questions

How will we receive our photos?

All sessions will receive their photos through an Online Gallery from which you can easily share, download and order prints. Your online gallery will remain online for 10 years. Photos are delivered in high-resolution JPEG format.

How many photos will we receive?

I carefully curate each gallery to deliver the best and most flattering images from your session. The number of edited photographs you will receive will vary based on the session type you book. Full portrait session galleries range from 50+ photos.

What is your turnaround time?

I do my best to deliver galleries as soon as possible.  Careful processing and perfecting your photos takes time.  I deliver portrait sessions within 4 weeks.

Do you edit all of the photos?

I edit all photos to polish and perfect colour, contrast and tones. Further editing to remove objects, slimming, swapping faces, etc. is possible but will be subject to an additional in-depth editing charge at your request.

What should we wear?
Sometimes the most stressful part of having your photos taken is deciding what to wear.  I can help with this and can make this part of your experience enjoyable too! I offer all clients a styling guide to assist in selecting your outfits.

Do you have specific locations that you shoot at?
I enjoy working in new and beautiful locations and am happy to travel for full portrait sessions. I love it when clients ask to be shot in a location that means something special to them or in a place that is unique and off the beaten path. I am happy to offer suggestions for some of my favourite locations that I know photograph beautifully!

What happens if we have bad weather?
I truly want your experience to be the best and the weather plays a large part in this. In order to achieve the warm, soft and soulful feeling that perhaps drew you to my work, lighting plays a very important role. I like to book two dates for your session right away so that if the weather or light isn't ideal, we have a backup available. The better the weather and lighting conditions, the more natural and beautiful the end results will be, trust me!

What happens if my kids don't cooperate?
Embrace the chaos!! I can guarantee that your session may feel a little nutty at times. My advice is always to embrace the craziness, laugh with your kiddos, relax, tickle and giggle. Silliness brings out everyone's best side and letting your kids be kids is important. Don't worry about directing or trying to get your kids to look at the camera. Although I will do my very best to capture a few photos where everyone will is looking and smiling, my absolute favourite photographs are the natural, unforced ones. So snuggle your littles, love on them, play with them and watch the magic unfold. These are the moments that you'll cherish forever!
